


LEX J. BYERS, LL.B - Senior Counsel
Lex J. Byers serves as senior counsel to C3 Capital Consulting Company. In that capacity, he practices in the areas of Tax mitigation, Asset protection, Business succession, Retirement and Legacy Planning. Mr. Byers became senior counsel with the firm following an extensive career in government, tax research, financial analysis and marketing that spans the past 30 years.
A former senior congressional staff member (Executive Assistant to The Honorable Eldon Rudd - 4th District, AZ), Mr. Byers uses his extensive knowledge of Washington D.C.'s regulatory and legislative environment to keep the organization current on pending federal tax, retirement and business issues.
Byers' entrepreneurial career also includes serving as government affairs counsel for the Food Marketing Institute (Washington, D.C.); government affairs manager for the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce; and executive vice president of the Scottsdale Chamber of Commerce. Byers was educated at the University of California-San Diego, Belford University and the University of San Diego. He holds Degrees in Psychology, Communications and Law.
A recognized expert in retirement planning, income tax mitigation and asset protection, Mr. Byers has experience structuring tax and enterprise transactions, including corporate and limited liability company formations (domestic and offshore), acquisitions, dispositions and mergers, buy-sell agreements, partnership agreements, joint ventures, real estate acquisitions, dispositions and tax-deferred exchanges. Additionally, Mr. Byers has substantial experience in the areas of foreign taxation, taxation of ESOPs and other tax-deferred entities.
Mr. Byers’ Legacy Planning work focuses on succession issues for professionals and small business owners. The primary goal of professionals and small business owners is to minimize taxes, while retaining control of their business. To that end, Mr. Byers has extensive experience setting up both qualified and nonqualified retirement programs with their attendant tax deferral benefits.
Mr. Byers is also expert at wealth preservation issues. His work includes the establishment of private annuity trust arrangements, living trusts, irrevocable trusts, grantor retained annuity and uni-trusts, qualified personal residence trusts, intentionally defective grantor trusts, charitable remainder and lead trusts, insurance trusts, private foundations, private annuities and family limited partnerships.
In his asset protection practice, Mr. Byers assists clients in protecting their assets from potential creditors arising from personal and business transactions. Specific, tax-neutral, strategies utilizing both onshore and offshore vehicles include the use of corporate veils, bearer shares, spendthrift trusts and International Business Companies.
Mr. Byers also has extensive experience representing clients before the IRS, the Franchise Tax Board, the Board of Equalization and other taxing authorities on issues ranging from simple tax audits to complex unitary business investigations.
Mr. Byers is an instructor to various financial planning and professional associations on topics ranging from structural formation and taxation to asset protection and retirement planning. A teacher for continuing education of Attorneys, Financial Planners and Certified Public Accountants, Mr. Byers frequently lectures on the critical financial ARTs: Asset protection, Retirement and advanced Tax planning techniques.

ALEXANDER L. SONKIN, BBA - Chief Financial Strategist
Alexander L. Sonkin serves as chief financial strategist for C3 Capital Consulting Company. Mr. Sonkin has been managing portfolio risk and advising clients since 1994. Highly sought after, Mr. Sonkin has been invited to give lectures on the topics of SUCCESSFUL RISK MANAGEMENT & OPTIMAL ASSET ALLOCATION throughout the United States, Canada, Germany, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates, and Norway.
Mr. Sonkin began his career as a derivatives (options) trader and market maker: a member of the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT), Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME), and the Chicago Board of Options Exchange (CBOE). Having personally trained and managed over 35 professional options (floor) traders, Mr. Sonkin focused his attention on arbitrage strategies between the S&P 500 Option Pit at the CME and the SPX at the CBOE. Having participated in more than 50,000 transactions across a wide range of financial markets has given Mr. Sonkin the necessary experience and practical knowledge to create systems of creating wealth while mitigating risk.
Mr. Sonkin has acted as a consultant to numerous corporations as President of Strategic Business Development, Inc. In 2004, Mr. Sonkin began teaching advanced financial strategies, while providing continuing education to CPAs, Estate Planning Attorneys, Financial Advisors, Mortgage Planners, and Realtors. Mr. Sonkin is passionate about successfully navigating the 60,000+ pages of the IRS tax code, and loves the opportunity to teach his students and clients how to maximize the internal rate of return of their portfolio, while simultaneously eliminating unnecessary risks and costs.
Mr. Sonkin is a graduate of University of Michigan Business School, in Ann Arbor, where he received a Degree in Finance and the Branstrom Award, a prestigious designation assigned to the top 5% of each graduating class.

BRIAN CLOW - Chief Debt Strategist
Mr. Clow is the Chief Debt Strategist for C3 Capital Consulting Company.
He started his mortgage carreer at IMS lending in Del Mar, CA and then moved to Pacific Republic Mortgage. After GMAC Mortgage purchased Pacific Republic Mortgage, he worked for GMAC for almost 3 years.
Mr. Clow was first introduced to the real estate industry by his father Dave Clow, a Licensed California Real Estate Broker. After many real estate development projects and work as a licensed salesperson with DC Development, Mr. Clow found his passion for mastering debt management, mortgage structuring and consulting.
His vision involves truly changing the way people think about money. He knows that a properly structured financial instrument (mortgage) should be the centerpiece of a great financial plan. With C3 Capital Consulting Company, this vision and dream has become a reality.
Brian and his beautiful wife Elly have been married since 2002. They have a son Tyler, and daughter Layla.

MICHAEL B. BERNSTEIN - Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Bernstein serves as the Chief Operating Officer for C3 Capital Consulting Company. Mr. Bernstein is responsible for managing the company’s day-to-day activities, and the design and implementation of the systems that deliver the company’s services. He is also responsible for the company’s events/workshops, and financial and marketing operations as well.
Mr. Bernstein learned how to run a business and gained his passion for operations, when he became Vice President of Zenith Graphic Supply, Inc, a family owned graphic arts supplier. His responsibilities included managing sales, accounts receivable, inventory, customer service and human resource functions.
After the sale of Zenith Graphic Supply, Mr. Bernstein’s entrepreneurial spirit began to shine, as he started his own graphic arts supply company, followed by a Marketing/Consulting company called Strategic Business Development. It was at Strategic Business Development, teamed with longtime friend Alexander Sonkin, where he continued to exercise his skills in management and operations.
Mr. Bernstein is a graduate of University of Michigan, in Ann Arbor, where he received a Degree in Organizational Management.

JOCELYN PECTOL - Director of Real Estate Investments
Ms. Pectol is the Director of Real Estate Investments for C3 Capital Consulting Company. Ms. Pectol got her start in real estate at the early age of 14, with a family owned RE/MAX branch. After many years of experience, she was able to transfer to RE/MAX Associates in California. She eventually worked with the Don Pelletier Group, one of the top Real Estate professionals in San Diego, CA.
Ms. Pectol has obtained her Real Estate license in California and Texas. She has successfully assisted and closed several hundred home-buyer and home-seller transactions, worth millions of dollars in Real Estate sales.
After several years with the Don Pelletier Team, Ms. Pectol decided Real Estate investing was her passion and with that passion she enjoyed helping others, it was time for her venture on.
Her positive energy, passion, and love for real estate is contagious. Her goals is to continue to help clients acquire as much real estate as possible.

ANTON J. ANDERSON - Director of Business Development
Mr. Anderson is the Director of Business Development for C3 Capital Consulting Company. Mr. Anderson developed his organizational leadership skills at a young age by taking a unique approach to college that earned him much more than a Bachelor of Communication degree. As a student leader he studied and traveled throughout the United States, United Kingdom, and Australia. Among other initiatives, he led nation-wide student leader conferences, co-founded an internet based company, and worked full-time to pay his way through school.
During his senior year he was the founder and student president of UC Santa Barbara’s Chapter of The National Society of Leadership and Success. He grew the organization to over 1100 members and his work earned him the titles of UCSB Student Leader of the Year and the National Student President of the Year.
Upon graduation, Mr. Anderson received job offers from half a dozen companies, yet he turned them down for a chance to develop his entrepreneurial spirit. Only days after graduating, he took a four month trip around Europe to broaden his perspective on the world. Shortly after returning home he was offered an opportunity to co-author a revision of the best selling book Major in Success with international author and speaker Patrick Combs. In addition to working on the book, he also started his own successful consulting company, Believe In Excellence Co, which helps large businesses more effectively communicate their message to the college audience.
Mr. Anderson is also an aspiring real estate investor. He owns multiple out-of-state properties and works closely with Ms. Pectol to stay on top of our exciting and always changing real estate market.
Mr. Anderson is excited to be part of the C3 team where his leadership and creativity flourish.

TIFFANY A. ALLEN - Mortgage Planning Specialist
Ms. Allen is a Mortgage Planning Specialist for C3 Capital Consulting Company. Ms. Allen has been in the mortgage & real estate industry for the last four years and says that she can't imagine doing anything else. She worked as a Submissions Coordinator for the mortgage bank, Home Capital Funding, and was then promoted to managing the in-house virtual escrow division, Lighthouse Escrow.
Ms. Allen also obtained her real estate license, as well as started up her own successful notary signing company. Her experience in different aspects of the industry is extensive and extremely valuable to her clients.
Ms. Allen is a graduate of San Diego State University, with two degrees in Political Science and Social Work. She has also served as the California Spokesperson for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
